Terms & Conditions

By making a booking, you enter into a contract with Helen Bay (trading as House of Peacock).

A provisional booking may be held for seven days through a verbal or written request, after which a holding deposit is required to secure your booking. After seven days without a deposit, the date will be released.

For secured bookings, an invoice or reminder by email for the remaining balance will be sent and full settlement is required before a script is released and no later than eight weeks prior to your ceremony, whichever is the soonest.

Conditions of Booking:

By making a booking with Helen Bay t/a House of Peacock, you accept and agree to pay a non-refundable deposit and you enter into an agreement for Helen Bay to conduct your ceremony, (or in exceptional circumstances, one of her trusted and respected colleagues).

Helen Bay is the business owner and will personally attend all meetings, design your ceremony with you, and be available for support, guidance and to share her professional expertise throughout the planning stages.

Changes and Cancellations:

Changes to booking dates and times must be notified in writing and whilst I will do my absolute best to accommodate whenever possible, they cannot be guaranteed.

No cancellations are permitted unless notified in writing by email or letter and the full fee is payable unless the booking can be filled by another client.

Script Timescale:

Unless previously agreed with Helen Bay, all scripts must be finalised and signed off by the client no later than one week before their ceremony date. Helen regrets that she cannot guarantee the acceptance or inclusion of any late changes to the script which arrive after the seven day deadline.

Late Payments:

We regret that in the case of payments outstanding beyond the eight week deadline, following the first reminder, an administration charge of £10 per week will be applied to the final invoice to cover the cost of additional invoicing and reminders.

Copyright:

All ceremony scripts are copyrighted and owned by Helen Bay. Copying, distribution or circulation of scripts to parties other than Helen’s clients is not permitted and all wording remains the property of Helen Bay. Scripts cannot be copied or forwarded to wedding planners, friends or family members without permission and the penalty for infringement of copyright is £1,000 plus legal costs, where applicable.
